Dating in the 21st Century

 

 
Ok I can’t lie, as a single woman on the market in this day and age, the thought of dating just flat out scares me. Why? Well because realistically speaking you never really know what you’re getting yourself into. Yea this has always been the case when it came to dating but is it just me or is the dating scene worse than ever these days? Aside from the natural fear of yet another broken heart, there are even deeper issues to be cautious of.  This world is full of people living life with unstable mind sets, even some of them losing their minds completely. For instance, have you ever just sat down and watched the news?  “Man stabs wife and child, “Woman shoots her 4 month old then herself”.  At some point in time, I’m sure that these same individuals were in the mix of the dating scene. How scary is it to think that you could have given your number to someone headed off the deep end?  Bottom line, you just never know what kind of demons someone is battling inside. I personally watch the news to remind myself that being single isn’t so bad after all. With that said, and in my own opinion of course, dating in the 21^st century equals Russian Roulette and a sista has never been any good at that game. Negative opinions of AJ’s character flooded the blogs after ATL Housewives second season aired, many referencing him as a “scrub”.
