Dating in the 21st Century
Ok I can’t lie, as a single woman on the market in this day and age, the thought of dating just flat out scares me. Why? Well because realistically speaking you never really know what you’re getting yourself into. Yea this has always been the case when it came to dating but is it just me or is the dating scene worse than ever these days? Aside from the natural fear of yet another broken heart, there are even deeper issues to be cautious of. This world is full of people living life with unstable mind sets, even some of them losing their minds completely. For instance, have you ever just sat down and watched the news? “Man stabs wife and child, “Woman shoots her 4 month old then herself”. At some point in time, I’m sure that these same individuals were in the mix of the dating scene. How scary is it to think that you could have given your number to someone headed off the deep end? Bottom line, you just never know what kind of demons someone is battling inside. I personally watch the news to remind myself that being single isn’t so bad after all. With that said, and in my own opinion of course, dating in the 21st century equals Russian Roulette and a sista has never been any good at that game. Would just love to hear your take on it, talk to me…

Hmm I agree to a certain extent, but i mean what other option is there to be alone for the rest of your life?? thats way too long. i think the loniness would either drive me to drink or turn me into one of those people you mentioned in your post.

A boy I was dating is in prison for attempted murder, he has 6 years. I dated him years ago but I think about what if I was with him at that time

I definitley agree. People as a whole carry so much unnecessary baggage that they don’t realize will come out at some point. Most people think getting into a relationship will help them get over another, or a certain situation. This idea is totally incorrect. In a relationship there will be problems because no two people think alike. Some problems may not always be major, but with going through issues that may occur with a relationship on top of the the baggage that had already existed within one’s self, can cause a very negative outcome…
